Combination All-on-X and Full Upper Denture Case
Combination All-on-X and Full Upper Denture Case
Before Treatment
We created a new full upper denture against a lower fixed set of all-on-x implant teeth. At first, he was missing all of his upper and lower teeth. He had a set of full dentures he could not wear them because he could not chew without pain. They were uncomfortable, and gave him a crooked smile. He could barely with them on so he just preferred to gum his foods. He also grew out his beard to hide his smile. This before pic shows the original old dentures and he wore them so we could take proper digital records. It’s plainly visible the smile was crooked and the center was way off to the side.

Treatment Consultation and Surgery
A 3D CBCT scan was taken and reviewed. After the scan he had a consult to go over treatment options. After reviewing his options he decided to make a new full upper denture and a lower fixed set of full implant teeth. He had enough bone to do a fixed upper. But due to finances, he chose to replace his old ill fitting full denture with a newer one. The goal for the full upper denture would be matching his lower teeth. We had a new full upper denture made before surgery but it was not a great fit to his new lower all-on-x teeth. Although the new full upper denture was better than what his original, there were some big improvements that could be made. So another replacement denture was made.

These new set of teeth restored his confidence to smile and he could now chew much better than before. The midline of the upper teeth is centered properly improving his smile. The upper and lower teeth make contact evenly which improved chewing. He joked that maybe he will shave his beard off now haha!
